Hi, I’m Richard!

How’s it going? Hope you’re doing well. If not, that’s probably why you’re here!

I’ve been in the massage therapy field since 2012, starting out as an employee at this little spa in Palm Springs, gathering experience before venturing out on my own. Now, I get the privilege of being independent and helping others!

Before this, I was in the Navy. Right? Drastically different. It had a lot of challenges, mentally and emotionally. Funny enough, a massage therapist in San Diego helped me through a rough time. Making that connection helped point me into the direction of health and wellness. That plus both of my sisters are massage therapists as well!

Also, as a former dancer and fitness enthusiast, I find the human body fascinating. We are so capable of moving in all these different planes of space, bending and stretching in all kinds of directions and modern lifestyle choices hinder our abilities.

When I was dancing, I suffered from a back injury that hurt like hell! I had a hard time getting into and out of my car and getting my socks and shoes on. Having gone through some musculo-skeletal injuries of my own, it is now my mission to prevent injuries and guide others to heal themselves.

In my time away from the office, I enjoy hiking, mountaineering, snowboarding, eating, taking photos and creating videos with my phone, spinning poi balls, spending time exploring Los Angeles, San Diego, Eastern Sierra mountain range, and sharing content on social media. Come stalk me!

I look forward to meeting you and seeing what we can do to help you out!

Cheers!

Random stuff: I’m a Scorpio and I quit drinking in 2020.

My Approach

bodywork massage palm springs

Adding joint mobility to a session

I have had many massages in my life and none like I experienced with Richard. His hands are magical and will reach spots that need healing that you may not realize until he finds them. He is a gentle soul with great energy and his empathic abilities allow him to tap into the areas of your body and mind that need healing the most. A+++++.

No two bodies are ever exactly the same. Neither are two sessions the same for one person. From an organic approach, I let you and my intuition guide the session. How exciting would it be for you or challenging for me if all I did was the same massage over and over again?

At the start, I make sure you’re in a comfortable position. If the face rest needs adjusting, you get hot or cold, or the music sucks and you want something different, I’m accomodating. I’ll also check in with you at least a couple of times throughout to make sure I am meeting your needs.

I’m all about communication and value your time, the only non-renewable resource you have so I encourage you to make the best use of it!
